Renette graduated from Victoria High School in 1961. In June of 1964, she married her love, A.J. and shortly after, she had her girls, Melanie and Amber. In the 1980’s, she was a member of the Pilot Club. Over the years, Renette worked for Victoria Bank and Trust, Citizens National Bank, JCPenney Customer Service department and was an Office Manager for Dr. Oakley. She enjoyed spending time with all of her children and grandchildren, including her grand-puppies, Lily and Coco. She has won many awards for her beautiful paintings. The Hallmark Christmas movie channel quickly became a favorite of hers, but it was always 2nd to her John Wayne and Cary Grant movies. Her blizzards at the end of every doctor appointment was something she always looked forward to. No matter what came her way, she never lost her faith. It only strengthened her trust and love for Jesus. Nothing can be compared to the way she felt about the love of her life, her companion, her soul mate. She was truly the best mom and meemaw in the world.

In addition to her parents, Renette was preceded in death by her loving husband, A.J. Butler, Jr; siblings, Helen Jamison, Gene Stindt, Diana Stindt; sisters-in-law, Linda Stindt, Christa Butler and Sheila Butler.

Renette is survived by daughters, Melanie Rodriguez (Johnny) of Victoria, Texas, Amber Mayfield (Darrell, Jr.) of Leander, Texas; grandchildren, Nathan, Emily and Lane Rodriguez, and Cole, Caden and Cullen Mayfield; as well as Weldon Butler, Alan (Linda) Butler, Mike Butler, Jack Butler (Robyn), Lisa Avanilla; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Hospice of South Texas or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
